Being a female means having to deal with periods, but maybe we don't have to "deal."
Do things for yourself to make your cycle less excruciating, for instance I buy dove dark chocolate and and read my favorite books.
Do something for yourself, indulge in something you love. Eat the chocolate, watch your favorite tear jerker, do anything that will make your time easier.
Why be miserable?
We should feel feminine, and beautiful, but most likely you feel frumpy, bloated, and irratated. When you start to feel that way, get away, go for a walk, nap, take a long hot bath with soft music, candles and bubbles. Do anything that will help you through that dreaded "visit from Aunt Flo."
Another tip for the menstrating woman: get plenty of sleep.
For cramps: I'm not a doctor but for me, naproxen helps which is in Alieve.
I also use icy hot, this helps reduce cramping. I rub the icy hot along my lower tummy, where your uterus and ovaries are. Heating pads can help reduce cramps too.
Attention: (make sure you read the directions on all of these products, and use to your preference)
The above picture pretty much explains it all, big props to whoever created it.
